Halloween Parade – Friday, October 31 at 8:15 a.m.: Our Encino Explorer Halloween Parade begins promptly at 8:15 a.m. in the big yard! Parents are welcome to attend and may enter through the Addison Gate. Please exit following the parade so students can transition smoothly back to class.
Students may come to school dressed in their costumes with a change of clothes underneath, as they will return to regular schoolwork and instruction after the parade. Teachers will share details about seasonal classroom activities, with each class hosting small celebrations coordinated by the teacher and room parent. Please note that no food items may be distributed, in accordance with LAUSD, state, and federal health and nutrition regulations.
Costume Guidelines:
Costumes must be appropriate — not vulgar, discriminatory, or include violent or illegal imagery.


Must allow safe movement and visibility (no tripping hazards or full-face masks).


No replica or realistic weapons, and please avoid props that could pose a safety risk.
Please note: Friday, October 31 is a Minimum Day with a 12:56 p.m. dismissal ????
