English Language Learners

At Encino Charter, students are held to a high standard and taught with academic rigor. English Language Learners are held to the same high expectations of learning, established for all students. 

Through our standard-based English Language Development (ELD) Program, Emergent Bilingual (EB) students develop full productive proficiencies in English in the four areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. EBs are taught challenging academic content that enables them to meet performance standards in all content areas.
