Before & After School Care
LAs Best - A free, after school program from 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. for students K - 5 on the Encino Charter Campus. Students will receive supper, help with their homework, and the opportunity to participate in a wide array of programmed activities. For information and application: https://lasbest.org/
Beyond the Bell Youth Services (YS) - After school playground: A free after school supervised playground on the Encino Campus. (2:30 to 6:00) Grades 2-5 only.
Soaring Eagles Child Care - 818-389-5506 - www.Soaringeaglesccc.com -Tuition based program on the Encino campus for before and after school care. Grades TK-5 on a space available basis.
EPCC - 818-788-9442 - Private after school tuition based program across the street.
STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK-UP: It is important that all students are on the yard ready to line up when the 8:01 bell rings.
Please observe parking and traffic signs during arrival and dismissal. Students may not remain on the yard unsupervised after school. The kindergarten yard and play equipment will be closed 15 minutes after the dismissal bell.
Encino Charter Elementary Morning Traffic/Parking
There are 3 gates open in the morning. The main front gate on Addison Street, the Kindergarten gate (also located on Addison Street on the South side West corner), and the Valet drop-off in the rear of the school on Otsego Street.
Safety Valet Drop Off
Before you arrive, have your child in the rear seat on the passenger side, with all of their belongongs for the day. You will pull up entering on the Otsego Street entrance and there will be an adult that will open the car door and the child will get out and go directly into the school grounds and into their line with their class. This is a quick process if your child is ready, so please say your good bye's while you are in line before your car door is opened.
Please remember the following Safety Protocols to ensure your child makes it to school safely:
- There are no U-turns, 3-point turns or double parking allowed.
- No crossing the street, except at designated crosswalks or corner to corner
- Do not park on the opposite side of the school and allow your child to cross the street unattended.
- You must be with your child until they are allowed entrance.
