Classroom Parties/Birthday Celebrations

In coordination with the teacher and room parent each class may have small seasonal celebrations (craft, activity, or small store-bought treat); each classroom teacher will decide how they will acknowledge birthdays but no food items are allowed to be distributed. In collaboration with the classroom teacher, parents may provide treat bags with non food items such as pencils, erasers, and/or small favors.

This policy complies with LAUSD Board of Education as well as other federal and state laws related to food service, nutrition requirements, health department regulations, and maximizing the use of students’ instructional time. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
